Under the Fig Tree: A Beginning

Why Salted Fig Exists: Clothing Rooted in Scripture, Designed for Everyday Witness.

“Under the fig tree” is where Jesus saw Nathanael before calling him as a disciple (John 1:48). It was a place of shade, reflection, and unseen prayer — a hidden moment that prepared him for a greater calling.

This space — Under the Fig Tree — hopes to become something like that: a quiet place to reflect, rooted in Scripture, where faith and life are drawn together.

The Heart of Salted Fig

Salted Fig was born from a conviction that faith is meant to be both reverent and lived. Clothes carry witness. Words carry weight. Every thread and every story matters when rooted in the eternal Word.

Our designs draw from the deep wells of Scripture — prophetic imagery, sacred language, and timeless metaphors — so that faith isn’t just spoken, it’s worn. Faith-based designs that provide a warm invitation to discuss the greatest story ever told and offer a bold proclamation of truth. This journal will expand that vision in words: meditations, reflections, and glimpses of how the sacred weaves through the everyday.

Great Expectations

We hope that here, under the fig tree, you can find:

  • Reflections on the Scriptures that inspire our designs.

  • Thoughts on living faithfully in a distracted world.

  • Meditations on beauty, reverence, and creativity as acts of worship.

  • Stories from the making of Salted Fig — the journey, the designs, the fruit.

Our Prayer

Just as the fig tree stood as a quiet witness in Nathanael’s story, may this journal be a witness for us — a place to remember who we are, who we follow, and what kingdom we are building.

Sacred Roots. Faithful Fruit. Welcome to the beginning.
